samples, samples, samples

My Birch Box invite finally came! About a month ago I heard about this great thing where you pay a small fee each month and a box of high end beauty samples shows up at your door. So of course I had to sign up! What could be better than recieving new products on a monthly basis? I went to the site, entered my email, and waited for my invite to come. Now I'm a member, and I can't wait to get my first box! Hopefully it'll come any day now! To get in on this goodness go here.

One Year

When it comes to anniversaries of things I tend to get pretty excited- one week since this, one month since that, one year since those and so on. I just love to celebrate. Well today is one of those days. One year ago today Derek and I went on our first date! I wasn't the girl who normally got nervous for dates, but for that one I was. I spent all day looking up the menu at the restaurant we were going to just so that I wouldn't stumble when it came time to ordering. (That could also be because we were getting sushi and it was only my second time ever eating that so I was pretty intimidated!) Derek spent all day cleaning his truck, making sure it looked perfect. To make a long story short that night was the best first date I had ever been on! And look at us now- Mr. and Mrs.! Here's to a great first year together.

Sam I Am + D

After 4 months of marriage (I can't believe it's already been that long!) and over a year of blogging absence it's about time that Sam I Am has a new look that reflects my new life. Welcome to S&D!

I can't think of a better way to begin this new chapter than with some exciting news. Today our wedding is being featured on Style Me Pretty!! It's a dream come true! SMP helped inspire many aspects for my own wedding, so it's such a honor that the ultimate wedding blog selected our special day to be shared with others. Thanks SMP and thanks to everyone that made our day so special!

twenty three

I don't know what it is about 23, but it feels so much older than 22! I just love birthdays. Especially when it includes Cheesecake Factory, setting up new furniture, a family party (including hot pink decorations of course), a barbecue at an awesome ranch with my amazing friends, but most importantly the best birthday present ever- a real job! Yay!! Thanks to everyone who made it such a great day! I'm so blessed to have such amazing family and friends.

Cougar for life

Yesterday was the first day of school at BYU and my first time since preschool not having a first day. Weirdest feeling ever! No new back to school clothes, no new school supplies, no figuring out my schedule. I guess that's what happens when you graduate. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm so sad not to be going back! I loved school. I suppose there's always grad school right...
